Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
Libreswan in FIPS mode rejects badly formed received certificates but does not delete them from the NSS cache. As a result, real certificates with the same serial number are also rejected, which can lock out legitimate peers from connecting. The issue stems from a missing CERT_DestroyCertificate() call in add_decoded_cert() due to an incorrect fix for CVE-2026-14957.
Observable discrepancy in the Media component of Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.79 allowed a remote attacker to leak cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page. Chromium security severity: High.
Indico versions 3.3.3 through 3.3.13 incorrectly use the ambient web-session user instead of the user supplied to Contribution.can_manage when checking inherited event contribution-management permission. A low-privileged user can induce a privileged user to request a crafted legacy contribution export, causing speaker or author email addresses and contribution access-control entries to be stored in an API cache entry retrievable with less privilege. The issue was fixed in Indico 3.3.14.
Finsys Dockhand through 1.0.18 contains an LDAP injection vulnerability in the tryLdapAuth function in src/lib/server/auth.ts, which inserts the login username into the LDAP search filter without escaping wildcard characters. An unauthenticated attacker can submit incremental wildcard patterns such as 'a*' to /api/auth/login and measure response timing to enumerate valid LDAP usernames while evading per-username rate limiting.
Fossify File Manager through 1.6.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows crafted ZIP archives to write files outside the extraction folder by bypassing an unanchored startsWith check. An attacker can supply archive entries like ../<name>_x/file to create or overwrite files in sibling folders when a user extracts the archive.
Shaarli through 0.16.9 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows authenticated users to make the server request internal addresses by fetching bookmark thumbnails without private-address checks. Attackers can create bookmarks pointing to loopback, private, or cloud metadata addresses and trigger ThumbnailsController::ajaxUpdate or saving to send blind GET requests, with open_shaarli exposing this to any visitor.
Kavita 0.9.0 through 0.9.1.4 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability that allows authenticated users to bypass the SSRF blocklist through DNS rebinding or HTTPS redirects. Attackers can submit a URL to POST /api/Cbl/upload-cbl-file whose host rebinds or redirects to internal addresses after validation, enabling blind internal port and service probing.
Aureus ERP through 1.6.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to read unpublished draft blog posts via the customer-facing post view page. Attackers who know or guess a post slug can retrieve the full title, content, image, tags, author and publish date because PostResource skips authorization and ViewPost ignores is_published.
Snowy 3.6.5 contains a hard-coded HMAC key vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to forge download signatures for the /dev/file/download endpoint by using the published FILE_DOWNLOAD_SIGN_SECRET constant. Attackers can compute HMAC-SHA256 signatures of guessed file ids offline to download stored files such as avatars, editor images and attachments.
A flaw was found in device-mapper-persistent-data. A local attacker can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by inducing a user or system tool to process crafted device metadata containing an excessively large block index. An arithmetic error in the synchronous block reading logic causes the application to panic and unexpectedly terminate.
A missing authorization vulnerability in Fortinet FortiSIEM 7.5.0 may allow attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via Specially crafted HTTP requests
A Double Free vulnerability (CWE-415) in Fortinet FortiOS, FortiProxy and FortiSwitch. A local authenticated attacker can send crafted CLI commands to crash the newcli daemon.
In BusyBox's httpd web server, when configured with system password authentication, a user existence oracle may exist in certain build configurations. An attacker could distinguish existing from non-existing usernames by observing authentication failure behavior. Impact is limited to username enumeration and requires non-default compile options or uncommon password file states; default BusyBox builds with shadow password support are not affected.
In HBAI-Ltd Toonflow-app up to 1.1.8, an unknown function of the exportData Endpoint component leads to information disclosure. The attack requires local access, and the exploit has been disclosed to the public. Upgrading to version 2.0.0 mitigates this issue. The vendor explains that the report targets version 1.1.8, while the current release 2.0.4 is the result of a substantial architectural refactor and the referenced code paths do not apply.
Buffer Overflow vulnerability in zserge jsmn jsmn HEAD 25647e6 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the jsmn.h, jsmn_parse(), example/jsondump.c, dump() components
The openUBMC device-management process parses PLDM-over-MCTP and NCSI-over-MCTP responses from on-bus devices, and three response parsers in the shared transport libraries subtract a fixed header or reserved-field size from a device-supplied response length without a lower-bound check. An undersized response wraps the unsigned length difference to a very large value, and the parser then reads far past the response buffer. The affected code sits in the base PLDM control class and the Huawei NCSI driver, so it is reachable for any PLDM endpoint or Huawei NIC on the internal management bus.
H3C HDM Family-A verifies the RSA signature of a firmware image against a public key it reads from the mutable file `/conf/public.pem`. That file is writable by an authenticated Redfish client through the `UpdateService.UploadSignKey` action, which stores the uploaded body verbatim after validating only that the multipart filename ends in `.pem`. An administrator, or any account with `firmware-update` privilege, can therefore replace the trust anchor with their own key, sign a malicious image with the matching private key, and have it pass verification. Family-A has no hardware root-of-trust (no PFR) to catch the substituted key.
In macrozheng mall 1.0.3 dcaa93b, the OmsOrderServiceImpl.updateMoneyInfo function in /order/update/moneyInfo (mall-admin/mall-portal component) leads to incorrect calculation. The attack can be initiated remotely. The vendor deleted the GitHub issue for this vulnerability without explanation.
In fastify versions 5.12.2 through 5.12.5, the routine that lowercases header names declared in a route schema does not lowercase the enum or const header names nested inside a propertyNames subschema. As a result, a header allow-list or deny-list written with canonical (non-lowercase) casing never matches the incoming lowercased header, so a restricted header passes validation and reaches the route handler. An attacker can therefore bypass a case-sensitive header validation rule and smuggle a forbidden header past the schema, affecting the integrity of request handling. The issue is fixed in fastify 5.12.6.
A security vulnerability has been detected in macrozheng mall up to 1.0.3. The issue affects the file /order/generateOrder in the Coupon Redemption component. Manipulation of the couponId argument leads to a race condition. The attack can be performed remotely but requires high complexity and is difficult to exploit. The vendor deleted the GitHub issue without explanation.
