Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
n8n before 1.123.83, 2.x before 2.41.4, and 2.42.x before 2.42.1 contains an authentication bypass because dynamic-path webhook resolution matched requests on the path alone, ignoring the server-generated identifier that is the URL's only unguessable component. Unauthenticated attackers can omit this identifier in requests to webhook, form, or MCP routes to execute workflows in unrelated projects under those projects' credentials.
n8n before 2.41.4 and 2.42.x before 2.42.1 contains an authorization bypass in the Agents create endpoint, which accepts a caller-supplied Agent ID, checks permissions only against the requested project, and updates an existing Agent without verifying which project owns it. An authenticated user with read-only Agent access to another project can supply an existing Agent ID to move that Agent into their own project and rewrite its name, schema and version.
n8n before 1.123.83, 2.x before 2.41.4, and 2.42.x before 2.42.1 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in the AI workflow builder, which merges workflow connections using node names as object members without checking for reserved keys. Authenticated users can create nodes named __proto__ through the API and invoke the connect-nodes operation to pollute the global object prototype, disrupting the instance until restart.
n8n before 2.41.4 and 2.42.0 contains an authorization bypass in the agent chat resume endpoint, which accepts a run identifier from the request body without verifying that the suspended checkpoint belongs to the caller. Authenticated project members can list and read other members' private agent conversations through project-scoped endpoints, then approve their pending tool calls, causing the tools to execute and write results into the victim's conversation.
FreeRDP from 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains an infinite loop vulnerability in http_response_recv() that allows malicious gateways to exhaust client CPU via crafted Content-Type headers. Attackers controlling a gateway can return a nonzero Content-Length with a semicolon-containing unrecognized Content-Type, pinning a client thread at full CPU indefinitely.
FreeRDP 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 allows HTTP header injection in its proxy because a lone LF in the target portion of a routing token (Cookie: msts=) is not rejected and is written by http_proxy_connect into the CONNECT request line and Host header. A remote unauthenticated RDP client connecting to a proxy using FixedTarget=false and an upstream HTTP proxy can alter HTTP request/header framing at that upstream proxy.
FreeRDP from 2.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability that allows malicious RDP servers to crash clients by sending out-of-lifecycle serial IRPs. Attackers can send IRP_MJ_READ or IRP_MJ_WRITE before create or after close, causing CommReadFile or CommWriteFile to dereference a null handle and terminate clients using Linux serial redirection.
FreeRDP from 3.0.0-beta1 before 3.32.0 fails to enforce cumulative or absolute size limits when reassembling RDPDR channel fragments in the proxy. Attackers can send a FIRST fragment followed by continuation fragments without LAST, growing per-session heap streams proportional to traffic and exhausting proxy memory.
FreeRDP from 2.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains a memory exhaustion vulnerability in wts_read_drdynvc_data_first that allows authenticated clients to force servers to commit large memory allocations. Attackers can send a seven-byte DATA_FIRST message on an opened DVC declaring a large 32-bit length, causing zeroed resident memory growth and server resource exhaustion.
FreeRDP versions 3.13.0 before 3.32.0 contain a resource retention flaw in drive_process_irp_create, which registers an opened local file in the drive dictionary before applying the allocation size and does not remove it when that operation fails. A malicious RDP server connected to a client with drive redirection enabled can send IRP_MJ_CREATE with AllocationSize set to UINT64_MAX, forcing the seek to fail and leaking the file object and operating-system handle until drive teardown.
FreeRDP before 3.32.0 fails to close prior serial handles in serial_process_irp_create, allowing a malicious RDP server to exhaust file descriptors. Attackers can send repeated serial IRP_MJ_CREATE requests to accumulate descriptors and terminate the client at the CommReadFile FD_SETSIZE assertion.
FreeRDP versions from 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 contain a null pointer dereference in the rdpsnd channel when a fragment sets CHANNEL_FLAG_LAST without CHANNEL_FLAG_FIRST. A malicious RDP server can send a malformed rdpsnd PDU on a fresh channel to crash the client and cause denial of service.
A weakness has been identified in sgl-project SGLang up to 0.5.19. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file python/sglang/srt/managers/io_struct.py of the component generate Endpoint. This manipulation of the argument session_params causes denial of service. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks.
A vulnerability in the qs library affects qs.stringify with arrayFormat: 'comma', which throws a TypeError when an array element cannot be coerced to a string (e.g., an object with an own non-callable toString or a null-prototype object). The issue exists in versions >=6.7.0 <6.16.1 and is fixed in v6.16.1. Input can come from untrusted sources, including JSON.parse or qs.parse with allowPrototypes: true.
A security vulnerability has been detected in Praat up to 7.0.02. Affected is the function whisper_model_load of the file external/whispercpp/whisper.cpp of the component Model Loader. The manipulation of the argument n_dims leads to out-of-bounds write. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The identifier of the patch is a910d21a2705ef4cd16d91f29cdc8da1ab1a7221.
A weakness has been identified in itsmeravitejak Online-Examination-System up to e6208e630b14657999bbfe4c9912302d2a1e2449. The affected element is an unknown function of the file dbtables.sql. Executing a manipulation can lead to information disclosure. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. This product operates on a rolling release basis, ensuring continuous delivery. Consequently, there are no version details for either affected or updated releases.
A vulnerability was detected in turboderp ExLlamaV2 up to 0.3.2. Affected is the function STFile.get_tensor of the file exllamav2/stloader.py of the component Safetensors Tensor Loader. Performing a manipulation of the argument data_offsets results in buffer overflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used.
FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager. From 3.9.0 until 3.22.0, pristine manual FileRise installations without PERSISTENT_TOKENS_KEY or metadata/persistent_tokens.key can activate a published legacy compatibility key. If an attacker separately obtains ciphertext-bearing account or configuration files, the known fallback key can enable decryption of TOTP secrets or credentials. This issue is fixed in version 3.22.0.
FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager. Prior to 3.21.0, FileRise returns the stored branding.footerHtml value through the unauthenticated public site configuration API without server-side sanitization. The FileRise frontend already sanitizes this value before rendering it into the page, but the unauthenticated public config API exposed raw admin-provided footer HTML to clients. An administrator must first store the malicious footer value. This issue is fixed in version 3.21.0.
FileRise is a self-hosted web-based file manager. Prior to 3.21.0, FileRise tracks failed logins only by the combination of source IP address and username. A remote unauthenticated attacker can rotate usernames to obtain a fresh per-account attempt budget for each name, enabling password spraying from one source beyond the intended limit. This issue is fixed in version 3.21.0.
