Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
Plane, an open-source project management tool, in 1.3.1 and earlier has an EntityAssetEndpoint at /api/public/assets/v2/anchor/{anchor}/ that requires authentication for write operations but does not verify workspace or project membership. An authenticated user who knows a published project's public DeployBoard.anchor can create FileAsset records in that project and soft-delete existing assets by identifier, allowing cross-workspace file injection, storage abuse, and data loss.
Mongoose, an embedded web server and network library, prior to 7.23 does not reject a TCP option whose declared opts[1] length exceeds the remaining option bytes. In handle_opt(), a NOP followed by a truncated MSS option causes opts[3] to be read outside the declared options area and used as the low byte of dmss. An unauthenticated remote peer can corrupt the per-connection MSS value so later mg_send() calls transmit truncated or zero-length application payloads while the TCP connection otherwise appears healthy.
Mongoose, an embedded web server and network library, prior to 7.23 has a built-in TLS certificate parser selected by MG_TLS_BUILTIN that fails to verify that a long-form DER element length fits within the remaining certificate buffer. In mg_der_to_tlv() and mg_der_next(), a peer-controlled length can advance the parser beyond the certificate and underflow the remaining uint32_t length, causing mg_tls_parse_cert_der() to continue walking an invalid pointer. An unauthenticated malicious TLS server, or a client presenting a certificate to a server configured for client certificates, can trigger an out-of-bounds read and denial of service during the handshake.
Mongoose, an embedded web server and network library, prior to 7.23 has a built-in TLS stack selected by MG_TLS_BUILTIN in src/tls_builtin.c that accepts a TLS 1.3 record whose decrypted size is exactly the 16-byte authentication tag with no plaintext or ContentType byte. In mg_tls_recv_record(), the msgsz length check permits that record and the recv_len calculation underflows to SIZE_MAX, so a later handshake step treats stale buffer contents as a trusted message with an effectively unbounded length. An unauthenticated malicious TLS peer can trigger a heap out-of-bounds read before certificate or Finished validation, causing a remote denial of service.
Mongoose, an embedded web server and network library, prior to 7.23 has ppp_handle_ipv6cp() in src/l2_ppp.c that trusts the 16-bit IPv6CP len field without checking it against the received payload size. On a PPP or PPPoE link using MG_ENABLE_TCPIP and MG_ENABLE_IPV6, an unauthenticated adjacent peer can complete the required LCP exchange and send a short Configure-Request with an oversized length, causing ppp_tx_frame() to read beyond recv_queue.buf and write beyond tx.buf. The same length misuse can also expose adjacent heap bytes in a reply or hang the event loop through find_opt().
Flyto2 Core, an execution kernel for automation and AI-agent workflows, prior to 2.26.3 has validate_url_ssrf and is_private_ip in src/core/utils.py that compare resolved addresses only against native private IPv4 and IPv6 ranges and do not unwrap IPv4-mapped, IPv4-compatible, 6to4, or NAT64 transition addresses. An authenticated workflow author can provide a transition-form literal URL through the Execution API POST /v1/execute route, http.get, or sibling guarded outbound-request modules, causing the guard to accept an address whose embedded IPv4 points to loopback, RFC 1918, or cloud metadata services. On a host that routes the selected transition form, the outbound request reaches the internal destination and returns the response body to the workflow caller, enabling read SSRF and disclosure of internal-service data or cloud credentials.
Flyto2 Core, an execution kernel for automation and AI-agent workflows, from 2.26.2 until 2.26.4 has an HTTP MCP POST /mcp route that accepts unauthenticated JSON-RPC tools/call requests and forwards execute_module arguments to the module registry without the require_auth dependency used by the REST execution routes. An unauthenticated caller can select sandbox.execute_shell and supply its command parameter, which reaches asyncio.create_subprocess_shell with the privileges of the flyto-core server process. The endpoint is reachable locally under the default loopback binding and becomes network reachable when an operator binds the server to a non-loopback interface, allowing arbitrary OS command execution and potential full host compromise.
Markdown Preview Enhanced, a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code, prior to 0.8.28 passes a decoded, Markdown-controlled link target to a Windows file-opening helper that invokes child_process.exec with the start command. When a Windows user opens an untrusted Markdown file and clicks a crafted link, shell metacharacters in the decoded target are interpreted by cmd.exe as command separators, allowing an attacker-selected command to run with the privileges of the current VS Code user.
The Kubernetes controller in Radius prior to 0.58.0 deserializes the user-controlled radapp.io/status annotation on a Deployment and uses its container resource identifier for deletion without confirming ownership by that Deployment. An attacker with permission to modify Deployment annotations and knowledge of a target Radius resource ID can forge radapp.io/status and set radapp.io/enabled to false, causing reconciliation to enter the privileged deletion path for another tenant's Radius-managed container resource.
Databasus 3.7.0 through 3.61.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to brute-force password reset codes via POST /api/v1/users/reset-password. Attackers can request a six-digit code for a known email, then guess it without rate limiting, lockout, or invalidation to take over accounts, including administrators.
holaOS through 2026.822.1 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in channel-gateway connectors that allows any messaging-platform user to submit agent tasks because the #isAllowed check accepts all senders when the default allowFrom list is empty. Attackers who can message the operator's Telegram, Slack, Discord, or other bot can have ChannelIngress.handle pass turns to the workspace agent, running configured tools on the operator's machine.
Gitingest through 0.3.1 contains a symlink following vulnerability in ingest_query single-file blob ingestion that allows unauthenticated attackers to read server files by submitting symlink blob URLs. Attackers can commit a symlink to a public repository and submit its blob URL, causing the server to return any file the service user can read, up to 10 MB.
ILIAS before 9.24, 10.12, and 11.5 contains a PHP object injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users with Test creation or import permission to deserialize arbitrary objects via crafted Test archives. Attackers can inject a malicious tst_sequence sequence attribute that is passed to unserialize(), abusing Guzzle or Monolog gadget chains to write PHP files and execute code.
A security flaw has been discovered in cemtan sar2html 4.0.0. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file sar2html.py. The manipulation of the argument SECRET_KEY results in hard-coded credentials. The attack can be executed remotely. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
DataEase is an open source data visualization and analysis tool. Prior to 2.10.26, authenticated users can store a crafted custom dateFormat for a dataset field. DatasetTableFieldDTO.dateFormat is inserted without validation into date conversion templates used by Dimension2SQLObj, CustomWhere2Str, Field2SQLObj, WhereTree2Str, and ExtWhere2Str. When a chart renders the field on a cross-datasource dataset, Calcite parsing is bypassed and the crafted format can directly alter the generated SQL.
DataEase is an open source data visualization and analysis tool. Prior to 2.10.26, authenticated users can store crafted FieldGroupDTO.min, FieldGroupDTO.max, FieldGroupDTO.startTime, or FieldGroupDTO.endTime values in dataset group-field binning definitions. Utils.transGroupFieldToSql inserts these free-form values into generated CASE expressions without validation, and the resulting SQL can reach unparameterized backend query execution when a chart uses the field.
DataEase is an open source data visualization and analysis tool. Authenticated users with datasource access can supply crafted schema names, connection usernames, table names, or database names to datasource metadata operations, including getSchema, validate, save, and update flows. CalciteProvider inserts these identifiers into metadata queries that are executed through a plain JDBC Statement, allowing the generated SQL to be altered and run against the configured backend with application-held datasource credentials.
cpp-httplib before version 0.51.0 fails to strip Cookie headers on cross-origin 301, 302, 307, and 308 redirects. The create_redirect_client() function removes Host, Proxy-Authorization, and Authorization headers but leaves Cookie headers attached, causing session cookies to be sent to the redirect target.
Sentry versions 26.5.0 through 26.7.2 contain a vulnerability in the SAML SSO identity-linking flow. An attacker controlling a SAML identity provider can socially engineer an authenticated user into opening a malicious URL, link the attacker's identity to the victim's Sentry account, and take control of that account.
dbt versions 2.0.0-alpha.0 through 2.0.0-alpha.5 expose an unauthenticated POST /api/v1/query endpoint in dbt docs serve, which passes caller-supplied SQL to DuckDbViewsBackend::query_arrow() without authorization or an allowlist. A client that can reach the server can invoke DuckDB filesystem-reading functions to read files available to the dbt process, including files outside the docs index directory.
