Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
LaraDashboard 1.4.0 before 1.4.9 contains an improper authorization vulnerability that allows authenticated users with read-only email_template.view permission to send arbitrary emails via the MCP send-email tool. Attackers can mint an MCP token and call send-email with any recipient, subject, and raw HTML body.
Outline before 1.12.0 contains an improper access control vulnerability that allows unauthenticated users to read unpublished documents because the share loader ignores unpublished status. Attackers holding an existing share link can read withdrawn content, while shares.revoke returns 404 and blocks revocation.
DoraCMS through 3.1.0 contains a mass assignment vulnerability in the PUT /api/v1/user/api-keys/:id endpoint that allows authenticated low-privileged users to rebind their API key to another user's account. Attackers can set the userId field on their own key to a victim's id, then act as that victim to modify profiles and publish or delete content.
HotGo 2.8.4 through 2.15.1 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to choose the SMS login verification code by supplying the Code field to /admin/sms/send. Attackers who know a user's mobile number can set a known code and sign in through /admin/site/mobileLogin to take over accounts, including administrators.
madong-admin-saas through 5.1.4 contains a missing authentication vulnerability in the platform tenant management API because the 'platformapi' middleware key never matches the 'platform' application. Unauthenticated remote attackers can call /platformapi/tenant/account, bind-plan and sync-data endpoints.
madong-admin-saas through 5.1.4 contains an incorrect authorization vulnerability in AccessTokenMiddleware that allows authenticated tenant users to access the platform management API in multi-tenant mode. Attackers can reuse a tenant login JWT against /platformapi controllers to create platform administrator accounts, read tenant database settings, and take control of every tenant.
GoFound through 1.4.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary directories by supplying ../ sequences in the database parameter. Attackers can send GET requests to /api/db/create and /api/db/drop, directly or via a victim's browser, triggering os.RemoveAll on directories outside the data directory.
GoFound through 1.4.1 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to inject scripts by submitting document text to /api/index. Malicious HTML is returned unescaped by searcher/engine.go and rendered with v-html in dashboard.vue, executing script in an administrator's browser.
ape-volo-admin before 3.6.1 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to forge administrator tokens using a hardcoded JWT signing key in appsettings.json. Attackers can sign tokens offline with the jti claim set to the seeded administrator id.
OwnTone Server through 29.3 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in mpd_sticker_find() in src/mpd.c that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to inject SQL via the URI argument. A crafted 'sticker find song' command to the MPD listener on TCP port 6600 bypasses path restrictions and enumerates all media files with filesystem paths and metadata.
QuickJS-NG before 0.16.0 contains a memory leak vulnerability in js_atomics_store() in quickjs.c that fails to free the converted value when returning a RangeError. Attackers running JavaScript can repeatedly call Atomics.store with a valueOf that detaches or shrinks the buffer to exhaust heap memory and cause denial of service.
QuickJS-NG before 0.16.0 contains an integer overflow in js_typed_array_sort() in quickjs.c that allows attackers to cause a heap buffer overflow on 32-bit hosts. Attackers who can run JavaScript can call TypedArray.prototype.sort with a comparator on a typed array near 2^30 elements, wrapping the allocation size and writing indices past the buffer to crash or potentially execute code.
QuickJS-NG before 0.16.0 contains an integer overflow in js_proxy_get_own_property_names() in quickjs.c that causes a heap buffer overflow on 32-bit hosts. Attackers running JavaScript can return a large array-like object from a Proxy ownKeys trap to wrap the allocation size, causing crashes or potential code execution.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the tgatoppm converter's get_pixel() function that uses unchecked pixel values as color map indexes. A crafted color-mapped Targa file can crash the converter or leak adjacent memory into the output image.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contains an integer overflow in jbigtopnm that causes heap buffer overflow when computing output buffer size. Attackers can supply a crafted multi-plane JBIG file with large header dimensions so jbg_dec_merge_planes() overflows the undersized buffer, causing crashes or potentially code execution.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contains a heap buffer overflow in xpmtoppm caused by an unvalidated characters-per-pixel value in the XPM header. Attackers can supply a crafted XPM file with characters-per-pixel greater than 3 to overrun fixed 3-byte colorName hash entries, causing crashes or potentially code execution.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contains a stack-based buffer overflow in picttoppm's scanPoly() function in converter/ppm/picttoppm.c. Attackers can supply a crafted PICT file whose polygon edges produce more than 5000 points, overflowing the coord stack array to crash the converter or potentially execute code.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.30, and 11.03 before 11.15.08 contains a stack-based buffer overflow in the picttoppm paintPoly() function due to an unbounded polygon point count. Attackers can supply a crafted PICT file with a polygon exceeding 100 points to overwrite the fixed pts array, causing crashes or potentially code execution.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.02.30, and 11.15.08 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in winicontopam. Attackers can supply a crafted icon file with width or height above 32767, wrapping int16_t loop counters into negative row buffer indices, leading to heap memory corruption.
Netpbm before 10.86.51, 11.x before 11.02.29, and 11.03 before 11.15.07 contains a heap-based buffer overflow in sgitopnm's readChannels() function when processing RLE-compressed SGI images. Attackers can supply crafted SGI files with oversized offset table lengths to write controlled data past the heap buffer.
