Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
When NLnet Labs Unbound 1.0.1 up to and including version 1.26.1 is configured with both a root trust anchor and an additional 'trust-anchor:' for an island-of-security zone whose parent is provably insecure under the root chain, a malicious actor with a forged NSEC reply with the SOA bit cleared can trick Unbound to treat the configured trust island as insecure. This happens because the DNSSEC validator in Unbound accepts and caches the NSEC insecure response bypassing the RRSIG validation that the validator was supposed to do. The acceptance of the NSEC record at the trust anchor apex was allowed due to an old fix for type DS and NSEC queries from clients when trust anchor for that name existed.
storage/pkg/archive.ApplyLayer and ApplyUncompressedLayer may, when processing corrupt or malicious inputs, leak a file descriptor; unbounded repeated calls can exhaust the process’ file descriptor limit.
DT42 BerryNet up to 3.10.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in DLModelManager.get_model_meta in berrynet/dlmodelmgr.py (model package metadata handler). Manipulating the label argument allows remote attacks, and the exploit is publicly disclosed.
Vyper 0.3.8 through 0.5.0b1 contains a compiler miscompilation vulnerability in parse_IfExp that reads nested arrays with narrower inner bounds using the wider result type's memory layout. When a ternary selects the narrower array, inner arrays after the first are read at wrong offsets, causing contracts to silently store corrupted values or revert.
Trigger.dev before 4.5.12 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated project members to complete another member's DEVELOPMENT environment waitpoint by skipping the per-user environment ownership check. Attackers who know a victim's waitpoint friendly ID can submit type=DATETIME or type=MANUAL with isTimeout to prematurely mark the pending waitpoint completed.
Trigger.dev 4.5.0 before 4.6.0 contains an information disclosure vulnerability in the Dashboard Agent input proxy that stores a delegated user-actor token in browser-readable session input records. Attackers holding a chat's public session token can read the records endpoint to recover the token from payload.metadata.userActorToken and replay it for environment JWT exchange.
vLLM before 0.31.0 contains a cross-request mask leak in InputBatch.condense() that allows remote attackers to constrain other clients' outputs by leaving stale allowed_token_ids rows. Attackers can submit concurrent constrained generate requests, including via unauthenticated /invocations, so recycled batch slots apply their token allowlist to victims' unrestricted requests.
WWBN AVideo before 24.0 contains a cross-site request forgery vulnerability in legacy endpoints like playlistStatus.php that bypass the .json.php-only autoCSRFGuard() check. Attackers can lure logged-in users to a page with an auto-submitting form to make private playlists public, remove playlist videos, or forge video suggestions.
Vyper before 0.3.1 lacks a uint8 type, allowing interface return values declared as uint8, such as ERC20.decimals(), to be stored in uint256 variables without bounds checking. Malicious contracts can return values greater than 255 to manipulate or bypass contract logic that relies on these values.
Vyper from 0.1.0b10 before 0.2.3 generates incorrect code for a return statement inside a for loop in an internal function called two or more internal calls deep, producing an invalid jump destination (stack underflow). Affected contracts revert such calls unnecessarily, which in limited circumstances could enable denial of service against public contracts.
A vulnerability was determined in D-Link DCS-6501LH 3.03.02. Affected by this vulnerability is the function mydlink_set_root_pwd of the file /mnt/mtd/aoni_ipc. Executing a manipulation can lead to use of weak credentials. The attack may be launched remotely. The attack requires a high level of complexity. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized.
A vulnerability was identified in a2aproject a2a-rs up to 0.4.3. Impacted is an unknown function of the file a2a-server/src/task_store/inmemory.rs. The manipulation of the argument historyLength leads to information disclosure. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The identifier of the patch is 68f1b7e772ae5d6c9e581ac9b48bcddd10fe70eb. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch.
IBM Cyber Fraud 1.0.0 through 1.0.2 has a missing secure attribute allowing sensitive cookies to be transmitted over unencrypted connections, potentially enabling an attacker to intercept session data through network-based attacks.
