38 known CVE vulnerabilities in MongoDB C Driver, translated and rated.
- CVE-2026-114654Medium
A numeric-type conversion flaw in the BSON handling library of the MongoDB C# Driver allows an out-of-range binary subtype value supplied through untrusted textual input to bypass the library's binary-element integrity checks. When such a value is later encoded, it is narrowed to a smaller wire representation, producing binary elements that misdeclare their type or length. An unauthenticated party able to supply text parsed by an affected application can cause it to emit and persist malformed binary data, which subsequent readers either reject with an error or silently interpret as shorter than the data that was validated.
- CVE-2026-114653Medium
A client-side encryption schema construction component in the MongoDB C# Driver places caller-supplied field identifiers into a position that is interpreted as a pattern expression, without normalizing or validating them. As a result, an application that designates certain fields for client-side field-level encryption may have the protection silently fail to apply, so data intended to be encrypted is stored and returned in cleartext; conversely, the rule may apply more broadly than intended. No user action is required to cause the condition, and any party with ordinary read access to the stored data — without possession of the encryption keys — can observe the unprotected values.
- CVE-2026-114652Medium
A data-query-logic neutralization weakness in the update-statement construction component of the MongoDB C# Driver can cause application-supplied values to be interpreted as query/update logic rather than as literal data. An application user who can influence the content of values that the application passes into the affected builder surface, without any special privilege beyond ordinary read-write application access, may cause stored data to be modified or removed in ways the application never intended. The result is unauthorized integrity impact on the affected application data; there is no direct loss of confidentiality or availability of the database service.
- CVE-2026-114651Medium
A memory-handling weakness in the BSON deserialization component of the MongoDB C# Driver may cause data left over from previously processed content to be returned when specially crafted serialized input is parsed. An unauthenticated party able to supply serialized data to an application that maps certain primitive collection types can cause residual bytes from unrelated data processed earlier on the same execution thread to be surfaced as legitimate values. This can result in disclosure of a limited amount of information belonging to other requests or principals of the consuming application. No authentication or special privileges within the application are required.
- CVE-2026-114649Medium
The MongoDB C# Driver compares TLS client certificates by issuer and serial number only when deciding whether two clients can share cached connections. In an application that creates clients from certificates supplied by different users, a user who provides a certificate copying another user's issuer and serial number, without that user's private key, can be given connections authenticated with the other user's certificate. Database operations can then run under the other user's identity, affecting the confidentiality and integrity of data that identity can access.
- CVE-2026-114648High
The MongoDB C# Driver does not neutralize dot and dollar characters in dictionary keys, field names and array-filter identifiers used in LINQ queries before placing them into the field paths it sends to the server. An application user whose input reaches these positions can redirect a query or update to fields the application did not name, which can expose other users' documents and widen updates beyond the intended data. Certain values can also write malformed fields that leave stored documents unreadable by the application until they are repaired.
- CVE-2026-114647Medium
The MongoDB C# Driver does not reject replacement documents whose top-level field names begin with a dollar sign in FindOneAndReplace, unlike other replace operations. An application that builds such a document from user-supplied field names can have the server apply update operators instead of a full replacement. The effect is limited to the document matched by the application's own filter, whose contents can be modified in ways the application did not intend.
- CVE-2026-114646Medium
A data-validation flaw exists in the BSON handling and binary serialization path of the MongoDB C# Driver. When an application constructs a raw or lazy BSON document from externally supplied binary data, the driver does not verify that the declared size matches the actual data provided and copies it unchanged. An unauthenticated party supplying binary content can insert or remove elements in the database command without database credentials.
- CVE-2026-114645Medium
A 32-bit integer wraparound in the MongoDB C Driver's Windows-only Kerberos/SSPI authentication code can cause an undersized heap buffer allocation when an excessively long credential value is supplied in the client's connection configuration. A party controlling that configuration can cause the driver to write outside the allocated buffer. This may corrupt client process memory and cause denial of service of the client application.
- CVE-2026-114644Medium
The MongoDB C# Driver's BSON library contains an uncontrolled resource consumption weakness when deserializing one BSON value type. An application deserializing untrusted content retains derived data for the process lifetime with no limit. An unauthenticated remote party can drive unbounded memory growth, exhausting available memory and denying service.
- CVE-2026-114643Medium
The MongoDB C# Driver writes GeoJSON extra members without checking whether their names collide with reserved GeoJSON members such as type and coordinates. An application placing user-supplied field names into these extra members can store documents with duplicate geometry fields, so the server and driver resolve different values for the same record. Affected records can also become unreadable through the driver.
- CVE-2026-106438Medium
An incorrect calculation in Decimal128 string parsing in the MongoDB C Driver can accept certain over-precision inputs containing leading zeros instead of rejecting them. This produces a value different from the supplied text. An actor who can provide a decimal string to an embedding application, including through Extended JSON parsing, can cause the application to store or use an incorrect numeric value.
- CVE-2026-106437Medium
The BSON buffer-reservation API in the MongoDB C Driver can record a length smaller than the five-byte BSON minimum. Later append or comparison operations can underflow unsigned length calculations and read or write outside the document buffer. An actor who can influence the length supplied by an embedding application can cause the application to terminate or read or corrupt adjacent process memory.
- CVE-2026-106431Medium
An off-by-one error in the BSON bulk document writer in the MongoDB C Driver can write one zero byte immediately past a heap allocation when a document ends at a specific buffer boundary. An actor who can influence the size of documents serialized by an embedding application can corrupt adjacent process memory or terminate the process.
- CVE-2026-106430Medium
The MongoDB C++ Driver discards content after an embedded NUL byte in certain field and collection names accepted by the collection API. This can cause the driver and the calling application to interpret the same name differently. An authenticated actor who can influence a name passed by an affected application can cause the application to read distinct values from an unintended field or rename an unintended collection.
- CVE-2026-106428Low
An out-of-bounds read in SCRAM authentication response parsing in the MongoDB C Driver can read one byte beyond a fixed-size buffer when processing a malformed server-final message. A server or network intermediary can cause the application to terminate. The extra byte is not returned through the protocol.
- CVE-2026-96746Medium
An out-of-bounds write in the connection-monitoring logic of the MongoDB C Driver may allow an unauthenticated party controlling name resolution and host responses to write beyond a heap buffer, potentially causing the application to terminate unexpectedly.
- CVE-2026-93393High
A heap-based buffer overflow exists in the TLS transport layer of the MongoDB C Driver when built with the Windows platform TLS backend. A remote endpoint that the client connects to can cause the driver to write uncontrolled data outside the bounds of a heap allocation while processing incoming encrypted traffic after the TLS handshake completes. No authentication or user interaction is required, because the affected processing occurs before any application-level authentication completes. Triggering this issue may lead to memory corruption in the client process, disclosure of adjacent heap memory, or termination of the process.
- CVE-2026-88036High
Improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the GridFS component of the MongoDB C Driver causes a caller-supplied structured file identifier to be interpreted as a query condition rather than a literal identifier. An authenticated user who can influence the identifier may obtain stored file content beyond the intended target or cause all GridFS file chunks in the affected bucket to be removed.
- CVE-2026-88035Medium
A size check in the client-side authentication path of the MongoDB C Driver can wrap around, so an unusually large user-name value is accepted and copied past the end of a small buffer. A party able to set the driver's connection settings may cause the application that embeds the driver to terminate unexpectedly. Reaching this code requires a build in which the optional external SASL authentication backend is present and a connection configured to use it.
- CVE-2026-88034High
Improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the GridFS component of the MongoDB C++ Driver causes a caller-supplied structured file identifier to be interpreted as a query condition rather than a literal identifier. An authenticated user who can influence the identifier may obtain stored file content beyond the intended target or cause all GridFS file chunks in the affected bucket to be removed.
- CVE-2026-88026Medium
The MongoDB C# Driver contains improper neutralization of regular-expression metacharacters in the LINQ query translation component. A caller-supplied character sequence can alter a regular-expression predicate generated by an affected application.
- CVE-2026-88025High
Improper neutralization of special elements in data query logic in the GridFS component of the MongoDB C# Driver can cause a caller-supplied structured file identifier to be interpreted as a query condition rather than as a literal identifier. An authenticated user who can influence the identifier passed by an affected application may obtain stored file content beyond the intended target, cause all GridFS file chunks in the affected bucket to be removed, or rename a stored file other than the intended target.
- CVE-2026-84966Medium
An incorrect numeric type conversion in the BSON document building component of the MongoDB C++ Driver may cause a length value to be interpreted incorrectly. When an application supplies an extremely large, non-terminated field name, the library may read memory outside the intended buffer and terminate the calling process.
- CVE-2026-84964Medium
A double free in the OpenSSL-based TLS certificate revocation checking path of the MongoDB C Driver can be triggered by specially crafted certificate data during the handshake, causing the same heap object to be released twice and leading to unexpected termination of the client application.
- CVE-2026-84963Medium
An incorrect numeric conversion in the JSON parsing component of the MongoDB C Driver's BSON library may cause an unusually large text value to be silently shortened or the corresponding field to be omitted, while the parsing operation still reports success and returns no error.
- CVE-2026-84970Medium
A numeric truncation weakness exists in the JSON parsing component of the MongoDB C++ Driver's BSON library. An actor who controls the text that an embedding application hands to the library's public JSON parsing interface, when that text is very large, can cause the library to read memory beyond the supplied buffer and return it to the caller, to silently accept only part of the input as a complete document, or to terminate the process. No MongoDB server, credentials, or non-default configuration is required; the effect is confined to the process that uses the library.
- CVE-2026-84969Low
A memory-handling error in the BSON-to-JSON conversion helpers of the MongoDB C Driver can write a small number of bytes past the end of a heap buffer when a binary field is encoded and the output is cut short at a caller-configured length limit. A party who supplies the document content, with no privileges on the application that links the driver, may cause a small amount of data outside the intended buffer to be altered.
- CVE-2026-81530Medium
A weakness in the client-side encryption configuration surface of the MongoDB C# Driver causes sensitive key-management credential material to be reproduced verbatim in the driver's human-readable diagnostic representation of client settings, instead of being masked as other secret fields are.
- CVE-2026-81529High
Improper neutralization of delimiters in connection-URL construction allows connection-option injection in the MongoDB C# Driver. When an application passes untrusted text into the driver's connection-URL builder and round-trips it back into client configuration, the untrusted text is serialized without neutralizing URL/option delimiters and then re-parsed as authoritative connection options.
- CVE-2026-81528Medium
A MongoDB C# driver document-replacement code path omits the element-name/shape validation that equivalent write paths apply, so a value supplied as a replacement is forwarded to the server without neutralization of query-language special elements.
- CVE-2026-81527Medium
A NoSQL/expression injection weakness exists in the LINQ-to-aggregation query translation layer of the MongoDB C# Driver, in both aggregation expression and query filter translation. Special elements in application-supplied values are not properly escaped before the query is sent to the database.
- CVE-2026-81524Medium
A weakness in the MongoDB C Driver allows special elements in caller-supplied database and collection name components to pass without sanitization when the driver composes the target namespace for an operation. An application incorporating untrusted input into these names can have operations directed at a resource other than intended.
- CVE-2026-81522High
A weakness in the MongoDB C++ Driver's handling of caller-supplied namespace identifiers allows special characters embedded in those identifiers. An application that builds a namespace identifier from untrusted input without validating it may have its operation directed at a different target than intended.
- CVE-2026-9100Medium
The MongoDB C Driver's legacy GridFS API accepts malformed file metadata from the database without adequate validation. Crafted documents in a GridFS collection may cause any application that reads those files via the legacy API to either crash (via a division-by-zero) or silently leak process memory contents (via an out-of-bounds read).
- CVE-2026-6691High
The MongoDB C Driver's Cyrus SASL integration performs unsafe string copying during username canonicalization, enabling a heap buffer overflow before any authentication or network traffic.
- CVE-2026-6231Medium
The bson_validate function may return early on specific inputs and incorrectly report success. This could skip validation for BSON data, allowing malformed or invalid UTF-8 sequences to bypass validation and be processed incorrectly. The issue affects MongoDB C Driver versions prior to 1.30.5, and versions 2.0.0 and 2.0.1.
- CVE-2025-12119Medium
The MongoDB C driver (mongoc) may read invalid memory if large options are passed to a mongoc_bulk_operation_t.
